About BeadBun

BeadBun is a free tool for turning pictures and pixel art into fuse bead patterns you can actually build. It started from a simple frustration: most converters hand you a blurry grid of colors that don't exist as real beads, or mangle pixel art by sampling it on the wrong grid.

What makes this Perler bead pattern maker different

• Every bead in a pattern is a real, purchasable color with its official code.
• Pixel art is detected and snapped to its original grid, even when it was upscaled or saved as a JPG.
• The converter runs in your browser, so your pictures stay on your device. The only exception is the optional AI pixel art, which sends the picture to our AI provider and says so before you use it.

Credits

All pattern designs, sample pictures and artwork on BeadBun are original. The tool builds on open-source work: bead color data from beadcolors and perler-bead-map (MIT), icons from Lucide (ISC), the U²-Net model for cutting out subjects (Apache-2.0), ONNX Runtime (MIT), and the Lilita One, Figtree and DM Mono fonts (SIL Open Font License).
